Styles Use In MS Word

The paper is easy to read and has a polished appearance.

Styles offer uniformity and have the ability to apply multiple formatting attributes simultaneously.Outlines and tables of contents can be made with heading styles.
Any styles that have their formatting properties changed will have their formatting modified across all of their instances.

Why to use styles

Styles make it easier to design consistent, visually appealing headings, paragraphs, tables, lists,  and other document elements with the least amount of work. They work wonders when it comes to making captions, endnotes, footnotes, and footers. The styles operate in the background once you have configured them, freeing you up to concentrate on composing your message. Regretfully, many people are blind to the importance of styles or choose to overlook their influence since they operate in the background.

How to Use Styles

Microsoft has shown styles as a group prominently on the command ribbon's home tab ever since Word 2007. Styles were positioned under the format menu in earlier Word versions. This is a screenshot showing Word 2010's styles group and home tab. Versions 365 and 2007 through 2019 are comparable.
